Summer Temporary Position as Cleaner/Economy Assistant at SiS Youth Home Folåsa

SiS Youth Home Folåsa receives school-age girls with psychosocial issues as well as criminality and substance abuse.

Job Description

SiS Youth Home Folåsa is looking for a summer temporary cleaner/economy assistant for 80-100% during the period of weeks 26-33, with mandatory introduction on May 27-28 and subsequent training in the tasks as needed during weeks 23-25.

As a summer temporary cleaner/economy assistant, you will belong to the administration unit. After the introduction, you are expected to take responsibility for maintaining cleanliness in part of the facility. The tasks include cleaning common areas, offices, schools, conference rooms, and more within the institution.

During four weeks in the summer when the need for cleaning decreases, you may step in to replace our economy assistant and, in parallel with some cleaning, receive our catering food, order groceries, receive deliveries, and package/manage this according to a pre-arranged plan together with regular staff.

We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience in cleaning and/or food handling, a good sense of service, and a desire to contribute to creating the best possible environment for our youth.

Qualifications

Experience in cleaning/food handling is required, as well as a good ability to understand verbal and written information. We are looking for someone who can see what needs to be done and has an easy time adapting. You also see opportunities in changes and work well with others. For the summer temporary position, good collaboration skills and flexibility are required as we have close cooperation between all staff categories in the institution, all to provide the best possible care for our youth. You plan, organize, and prioritize in such a way that goals and appropriate quality standards are achieved. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

You should have:

• Experience in cleaning and/or food handling
• Good computer skills
• Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written
• At least completed high school diploma
• A driving license (B) is a requirement for the position

Meritorious:

• PRYL, SRY and/or equivalent education in cleaning.
• Education in food handling such as hotel/restaurant program
• Experience from work in care, treatment, and/or institutional environments is an advantage.
